Our beloved city… Kota Kinabalu (KK), I could say the most beautiful city combining prefect sea view, gracious allocated Mount Kinabalu, lushes tropical forest and foremost the friendliest people in the world!!! But, when it came to utilizing public facilities… we fail!!! It’s because, we as a pedestrians don’t know how to utilize it? Or, Dewan Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu (DBKK) is wasting citizen money on useless facilities at the wrong place, at the wrong time? Or, Do we ignoring the safety of ourselves and family member just to cross the road? Rather than wait a few minutes...There are a lot of questions and doubt is playing in my mind now and I am sure all of you are asking the same questions… either there is needed to follow the signal? We can just cross the road within a few second and reached to our destinations much quicker!!! That is the exactly answer that I will answer too… because I am doing it too... I not blaming anyone, but is time to change ourselves already since we are becoming a well developed city equiped with more advance faclities. Not only that, this faclities can reduced accident that can be occured at any place, at any time since there are more and more vehicle in KK.
On the brighter side, this means KK is progressing into becoming a shopping and food powerhouse city in east Malaysia, this is proved through the numerous of foreign tourist, world branded store, modern stylish shopping complexs, and opening of multiples restaurant. All this can be true... but the focus here... is the trafiic light here near at the Centre Point Shopping Complex.
The photo right here is the example of the correct way to crossed the road because the pedestrians are crossing to road based on the traffic light where there is a red signal for cars to stop and allow the pedestrians to crossed the road safety. And the photo on top left hand side shown that the traffic light are green and it susposely for the cars to crossed but here there are a lot of people crossing the road ignoring the purpose of the traffic light. The most heartbreaking is the father is carrrying his baby and was ready to crossed the road without concerning the possiblities that would happen!!!
This photo on the left bottom shown that the man almost been hit by the car... and if the car do hit him, the driver is not guilty because the traffic light is red for the pedestrians meaning the pedestrians must stop and let the car to crossed.
This photo on top right hand side clearly shown that the traffic light is red for the two young man to stop but instead they just crossed the road just like they are the King Of The Road!!! What happen to this people? Are they thinking clearly? Because they are willing to risk their own safety just to crossed a road. So... Give Your Comment Or Suggestions On This!!!
